Painting Cow Newsletter – June 2008 is an archival newsletter from the late Paul Burnett centered around the use of walking tools in leather carving. While the issue includes historical announcements and course updates from Painting Cow Studio, the primary focus is on a detailed instructional lesson explaining how walking tools function and how they should be properly used in carving and tooling.

Burnett explains the recoil walking principle, common mistakes made with bevelers, and how different tools, such as pear shaders, undercut bevelers, backgrounders, and foliage tools, interact with the leather surface.
